Remote Coastal Marriage Proposal

Jon reached out to me months in advance to start planning his proposal to Baylie. They were going to be road tripping to Washington to explore Olympic National Park, and since tide pooling is Baylie’s favorite activity, Jon knew he wanted to propose on a beach. Instead of planning around golden hour, like most of my couples do, we scheduled everything around the tides so they could enjoy the pools at their best.

He chose to propose at one of the most remote beaches in the park – known for having some of the best tide pooling. It required extra driving and a hike to reach but nearly guarantees solitude. They spent the morning picnicking and exploring tide pools, and Jon proposed in the afternoon.

They had picked out matching engagement rings months before, and Baylie later admitted she knew exactly how Jon was planning to propose. She became suspicious when, out of the blue, Jon suggested they spend a day of their trip picnicking and tide pooling.

Eventually, Baylie couldn’t keep it to herself. She started telling her regular customers about the upcoming proposal, and once she started, she said she couldn’t stop. There’s a photo of them on a grassy hill, taken right after I asked how many people they’d told. Jon said he’d told three people. Baylie confessed she’d told ten! Cue the laughter.

Congrats again Baylie and Jon!
