Hoh Rainforest Roadside Elopement

It’s not every day you can have your first dance in the middle of a popular road, but that’s exactly what Tori and Eddy did. Due to a washout in the road, access to the Hoh Rainforest was closed beyond a certain point. They took advantage of the empty stretch leading to the famous Hall of Mosses and eloped right on the road, free of the usual crowds and traffic.

Starting from their Airbnb in Forks, we caravanned along the Hoh River and parked at a large pullout. We took group photos before the ceremony, with George, their West Highland White Terrier, stealing the spotlight.

Their ceremony took place along the road, officiated by Tori’s dad. Throughout the day, he handed Tori a handkerchief whenever she teared up, just as he always has. After the vows, he passed the handkerchief to Eddy, telling him it was now his turn to take care of her. It was such a tender moment!

After, the group shared toasts, cake and mints – all made by family members. Then Tori Eddy, and I headed to the coast for private sunset portraits along dramatic cliffs. We prioritized getting epic veil shots per Tori’s request and ended the day with silhouettes against cotton candy-colored skies. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better day on the Olympic Peninsula!

Congratulations Eddy and Tori!
