Small Wedding Venues in Washington State

This is the list of wedding venues you’ve been searching for! Here is a compilation of Washington’s most beautiful and intimate elopement venues — complete with lodging (for you and potential guests), gorgeous scenery for your ceremony, photos, and reception, as well as fun activities nearby.

I’ve combed through traditional wedding venues, bed and breakfasts, and lodges throughout the state, and these are the best of the best for hosting micro weddings and elopements with the potential to adventure nearby.

Of course, there are plenty of beautiful places in Washington that are perfect for hosting your elopement, without a venue, but this list is especially for those who want the convenience of having everything in one place (here’s another blog featuring elopement venues in Oregon too).

These venues are organized by location. Click below to jump to the area you’re interested in or scroll on to view them all.

Olympic National Park

Central Cascades

North Cascades National Park

Greater Seattle Area

Leavenworth

Mount Rainier National Park

Puget Sound Islands

Columbia River Gorge

Eastern Washington

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK

Known as the quietest place in Washington, the Olympic Peninsula is such a special place. It has mountains, rainforests, waterfalls, lakes, and rugged coastline all within a day or two’s reach. If you’re looking for rest and a bit of adventure, this is the place for you.

Forks

Known for being the wettest place in the continental United States, and brought to fame by the Twilight series, Forks is one of a kind. You’ll find beautiful rainforests and quiet streams. Stay in cabins, glamp in canvas tents, or camp and host your wedding all in one beautifully green place at Mosquach Resort. If you’d rather simply host your event, without lodging provided, consider booking Fern Acres. Take a quick look and you’ll fall in love with the forests here!

LAKE QUINAULT

The Lake Quinault area is very underrated. Not only is it a gorgeous lake surrounded by mountains, but you also have rainforests and waterfalls within walking distance, as well as proximity to the coast. Host your elopement at the Lake Quinault Lodge or stay in the Lochaerie Cabins and get married somewhere incredibly scenic nearby.

See a Lake Quinault elopement here.

Port Angles

The Sea Cliff Gardens in Port Angles is the perfect spot to stay and elope. The oceanside views will draw you in but I love the proximity to a variety of scenery here. It’s an hour or less from Hurricane Ridge, other mountains, Lake Crescent, and beaches and if you’re willing to drive further it’s not much farther to the Hoh Rainforest, Neah Bay, and the coast. Port Angles is the perfect spot to stay and explore most of the park!

The Salish Sea Cove by Off Path Venues is located right outside Port Angles and offers a more inclusive elopement without the optional lodging. No worries though, there are plenty of beautiful places to stay in town. Check out this list for a few ideas.

LAKE CRESCENT

Lake Crescent is like Lake Quinault — it’s a stunning lake surrounded by mountains and is known for its amazing hiking and biking trails. There are three options for lodging and hosting events here. Check out the Lake Crescent Lodge, Nature Bridge, and Camp David.

THE COAST

With 73 miles of incredibly beautiful coastlines, the Olympic National Park beaches have something for everyone. Drive up to the beach, hike, search for tide pools, picnic, or explore the haystacks here. Each beach is a bit different from the next.

My favorite place to stay is at the Kalaloch Lodge and Campground. It’s the most convenient lodging along the coast and has pet-friendly cabins. Farther north, and more out of the way (read: less busy), is the Hobuck Beach Resort. Both options are oceanside with beautiful options for ceremonies on the national park beaches.

See an Olympic beach elopement here.

Although it’s outside the national park, be sure to check out the Sou Wester as well. Located in Long Beach, it offers a variety of ways to stay — from RV and camping spaces to suites, cabins, and vintage travel trailers. It’s totally unique and offers the convenience and amenities of being in town rather than out in the wilderness like the other locations mentioned.

Lake Cushman

This area is a well-kept secret among locals. The bright blue lake is perfect for paddle boarding, boating, or viewing from above on one of the area’s many hikes. Host your wedding at the Skokomish Park Campground to be on the lake and in the forest or at the Robin Hood Village Resorts for cabins among the forest.

Central Cascades

Stunning year-round, the Central Cascades makes for a great elopement location whether you’re hoping for to get married near waterfalls, easily accessed lakes, or some of the Pacific Northwest’s most famous hiking trails.

Gold Bar

Get married near one of Washington State’s most beautiful waterfalls at the Wallace Falls Lodge. You’ll have to hike to see Wallace Falls, but you’ll enjoy the lush green forests near the lodge regardless.

North Bend

Located in the Snoqualmie Valley and only an hour from Seattle, the Meadowbrook Farm makes for a great ceremony and reception site (no lodging onsight). Hold your ceremony in the meadow overlooking Mt Si, have your reception there if the weather allows, or reserve the Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center Building.

Enumclaw

Technically located in the foothills of the Cascades, Shangri-La on the Green is too good not to share! It’s located on the Green River with a swimming hole, waterfalls, and is surrounded by trees and greenery. Stay at their lodge or campground and plan a weekend wedding!

NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK

If visiting Washington’s top-rated ski resort isn’t enough to allure you, the North Cascades National Park will be. I think its highways are some of Washington’s most scenic roads, and if you have the time to stop for a hike, it’s well worth it.

Glacier

Enjoy a stay at the Baker Haus Lodge at the foot of the Mount Baker Ski area and entrance to the North Cascades National Park. This is the perfect cabin for a large group (with smaller cabins available too) with the option to add tables, tents, and have your ceremony and/or reception right outside on the lawn.

Winthrop

Winthrop is THE spot for outdoor enthusiasts to gather. It’s got mountain biking, climbing, hiking, cross-country skiing, and more within minutes from town, and is one of my very favorite places to visit no matter the time of year.

Stay and wed at Sun Mountain Lodge to really wow your guests with mountain views, or go for a homelier, and yet still beautiful, approach by reserving, The Rolling Huts, the Brown’s Farm, or Freestone Inn. Each of these is located at the base of the North Cascades National Park — ideal for exploring!

See a Brown’s Farm wedding here and a reception at the Freestone Inn here.

Carlton

Imagine getting married in a meadow surrounded by forested hills and mountains. The Skalitude Retreat Center is nestled in the foothills of the North Cascade mountains and is as beautiful as it sounds. They aren’t currently offering lodging onsight but it’s worth a look.

GREATER SEATTLE AREA

REDMOND

If you’re hoping to stay close to the Seattle area, but don’t want to sacrifice having the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest around you, The Emerald Forest in Redmond is the place for you. You’ll have everything you need — a ceremony in the forest and a stay in a luxury treehouse. S’mores station and ziplining are optional!

ISSAQUAH

Just a half hour away from Seattle, Treehouse Point is infamous. As you could imagine, weddings, and stays here tend to book out far in advance. If you’re able to snag a reservation, you’ll love the intimate cabins, forests, and exclusive access to the four-acre property.

SNOQUALMIE FALLS

While it’s possible to book your entire stay, ceremony, and reception at the Salish Lodge and Spa, I recommend popping across the river to the Snoqualmie Falls Theater to access stunning close-up views of the Snoqualmie Falls for your ceremony and photos.

LEAVENWORTH

The Leavenworth area is infamous in the Pacific Northwest. It’s known for its Bavarian theme, the nearby Enchantments, rock climbing, ski resort, theater, shopping, and gorgeous scenery. It’s the perfect getaway any time of the year.

LAKE WENATCHEE

Dirty Face Mountain makes for a great backdrop at the Brown Family Homestead. You’ll have 15 acres to yourself as well as the option to stay with your group in the homestead or by yourselves in the new treehouse. Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth are both a short drive away.

PLAIN

The Mountain Springs Lodge is located just outside of Leavenworth in Plain, Washington. This is a larger property with multiple lodges that accommodate between 4 and 20 guests. Get married among their aspen grove or meadow. Afterward, take a sleigh ride, snowmobile, zipline, or go for a horseback ride!

Consider getting married at the Alpine Lakes High Camp if you’re looking for a more adventurous elopement. You and your guests can opt to hike in or take their shuttle (via snowcat in the winter!) to off-the-grid cabins with 360-degree views. You get backcountry access without the time and effort it usually takes to reach it!

PUGET SOUND ISLANDS

Arrive in style via ferry or seaplane and enjoy the Pacific Northwest island life! Enjoy relaxing, spotting wildlife, like eagles, seals, otters, and whales, and kayaking in your downtime. Life seems to move slower here and I think it’s because there is so much natural beauty to appreciate everywhere you look!

SAN JUAN ISLANDS

Although there are many lodges and venues throughout the San Juan Islands, I particularly love the Doe Bay Resort and Retreat on Orcas Island. View this map for an idea of everything they offer, but don’t overlook the outdoor soaking tubs, guided kayaking, and whale-watching tours!

WHIDBEY ISLAND

If the six acres of waterfront property, forest, and private lagoon aren’t enough to persuade you to elope here, then it will be the modern, but nautical Pacific Northwest-themed cabins at Captain Whidbey Inn that will do it for you. Plus, it’s only two hours from Seattle!

MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK

The most iconic mountain in the state, Mount Rainier has captured every Washingtonian’s heart. It’s only a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Seattle and is gorgeous any time of the year.

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN

Get married any time of of year at the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. Riding the mountaintop gondolas would make a perfect grand entrance or exit!

ASHFORD

If you’d rather explore Mount Rainier National Park itself, check out the Copper Creek Inn, the Altimeter Cabins, and Wellspring Spa. Aside from their beautiful cabins in forest settings, each has space for ceremonies and receptions. Since they’re located in Ashford, it’s the perfect base camp to explore Longmire and Paradise.

COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE

The Columbia River Gorge is known for its fantastic views, numerous waterfalls, and many hiking trails. It’s yet another place I continually come back to because there is always something more to see.

SKAMANIA

Located just 20 minutes away from Portland, Oregon, the Skamania Lodge has breathtaking views of the gorge. Hold your ceremony and reception on their grounds and wander nearby for breathtaking photos at one of the many nearby waterfalls.

CARSON

I love that the Carson Ridge Cabins offer many all-inclusive elopement specials. Take advantage of their beautiful cabins and get married on the front porch or reserve the lodge if you plan on having guests attend as well. Either way, you’ll love being surrounded by the forest here with amazing views just minutes away.

Washogoul

This one is a stunner! Get married high amongst the trees at the Noble Ridge Tree Deck. Although dates are limited and only available in July, August, and September, reservations include the entire weekend with many extra amenities.

EASTERN WASHINGTON

With some towns enjoying up to 300 days of sunshine in a year, Eastern Washington is more desert-like than the famous landscapes of Western Washington. Here you’ll enjoy a slower pace of life and much fewer crowds. In the summer you’ll find locals floating rivers, hanging out at lakes, and rock climbing while the winter brings the snowmobilers.

Lake Chelan

Lake Chelan is stunningly beautiful in any season. You can expect snow in the winter and hot summers, but cool off by renting boats or jet skis! Get married above the lake at the Chelan Lookout or at the Tsillan Cellars to get married at a scenic winery (without lodging offered).

Stehekin

Located on the shores of Lake Chelan, Stehekin takes a bit of effort to reach — it’s only accessible by foot, ferry, plane, or helicopter. If that doesn’t dissuade you, read this blog to find more details on marrying there.

In short, your stay there will be unplugged, remote, and incredibly beautiful. Stay and get married at the Stehekin Valley Ranch or the Lodge at Stehekin.

Cle Elum

Suncadia is conveniently located just east of the Cascade Mountains and is only an hour and a half from Seattle. There is a golf course and spa on sight with a gorgeous lake, and hiking and OVR trails nearby.

Quincy

For desert views of the Columbia River Gorge, the Sagecliff Resort and Spa is your place. It’s peaceful and has multiple options for lodging, a restaurant, and a spot for your ceremony all within the resort grounds. Nearby recreation includes boating along the Columbia River, concerts at the Gorge Amphitheater, rock climbing, and hiking.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with these options, check out this blog to help narrow down the perfect place for you to elope.
